Arlington House

Arlington House is an 8-storey buillding with 41 suites.  They all have been updated with ensuite laundry and there is an array of floor plans, the smallest one-bedroom suites being 506 square feet, with two-bedroom suites of 861 to 947 square feet, and three suites as large as 1,006 square feet.

Astoria on Tenth

This 12-storey concrete-and-brick tower houses 44 spacious homes that all have a corner location, a wood-burning fireplace and an indoor assigned parking stall. There are large wrap-around balconies for suites on NE, NW and SW corners, while the SE suites have an east-facing balcony plus a smaller second one facing south, and a terrific projecting living room.

Chateau Falls

These 36 townhouses either have their living room at the courtyard level or are upper suites with stairwells to get there. Along Fifteenth Avenue eight two-storey homes with a bedroom(s)-down design are accessed from the sidewalk. There are 69 roomy two-bedroom suites in this nine-storey concrete condo tower that was built in 1981 and condo converted in 1990.  All suites offer two bedrooms, with the smallest suite measuring 858 square fee, and ranging up to 1,107.

Doral Manor

This concrete seven-storey tower clad in brick and stucco was classy and spacious in its day, and with modernization in 2005 it still presents well. The 24 suites are large by today's new condo-home standards, the smallest being 883 square feet, but most measuring between 947 and 969 square feet. They're all two-bedroom and 1.5-bathroom homes, and all on a corner as there are only four suites per floor.

Dorchestor Square

Dorchester Square is oriented east-west allowing suites to have views either south to Mount Royal or north to Nose Hill Park and the downtown core. The Exud condo development in Calgary's Connaught district offers 11 stories of luxury in every one of its 53 suites. The building is an advant-garde, concrete rental building, fully renovated in 2005.

Hallmark Estates

The 48 roomy suites include four roof-top decks and sloping metal roofs that make Hallmark Estates stand out on the Connaught skyline. The top floors of this 10-storey condo tower have six two-level suites, the corner four suites of which each have a standard balcony off the living room but also enjoy a lovely large roof terrace. Each of these six penthouses is special, with a sloping ceiling and a large loft level that overlooks the living room.

Hampstead Estates

This 11-storey concrete and brick-clad tower holds 56 roomy suites, assigned below-grade indoor parking, and features eight two-storey loft-style penthouse suites.  The smallest one-bedroom suite is 575 square feet., but more common are two-bedroom suites in the 900-square-foot range, while theloft penthouses with their sloped ceilings range up to 1,140 square feet with terrific views.

Harcourt Estates

this concrete 10-storey tower is identical to Hallmark Estates.  The six Harcourt Estates penthouses offer at least 1,000 square feet., ranging up to 1,209 square feet of interior space. They each have a double-height vaulted ceiling and a loft, which for the four corner suites has a door to their roof deck. Of course each corner penthouse also has a standard balcony off the living room. The loft space doubles as a bedroom, although it's open to below.

The Monoco

There are 44 suites and 45 titled indoor parking stalls in a seven-storey building.  In keeping with its Mediterranean theme the building has rounded balconies, arched windows, nine-foot ceilings, concrete-tile roof accents and a stepped-back penthouse floor.  The four penthouses are consistent, though, each offering 1,123 square feet of indoor space, and each has an enormous wrap-around balcony.

Parkside Terrace

The eight-floor concrete tower houses 31 spacious suites, and penthouses here are enormous two-level homes that each have a large top-floor patio off the bedrooms.  The five two-level penthouses range from 1,184 (just one of them), through 1,590 square feet and on to one of a sprawling 1,701 square feet. These five each also have their main-floor balcony and top-floor patio in addition to that.

Rosewood Estates

There's not a small suite in this 14-story concrete tower purpose-built as a condominium in 1979. All 48 suites have corner settings and 1,150 to 1,191 square feet, with four two-level penthouses sprawling over 2,315 to 2,389 square feet each.

The Royal Oak

This 15-storey building with 74 suites at Royal Oak Condos start with non-corner homes of 1,296 square feet, with corner suites offering about 1,600 square feet, while on the 14th floor there are only four suites, each with two balconies, two of the suites spanning two levels, and with interior space from 2,560 to 3,081 square feet

The Sandpiper

this 8-storey concrete tower with 52 suites was condo converted in 1994 and has looked good ever since. Roof-top decks are a feature of the Sandpiper, including a large common deck/garden for everyone to use and four private corner-set roof decks.  As well, four second-floor suites each have a large terrace east or west over the ground-floor retail spaces.

Stella

Built in 2006The Stella is the first of three new condo towers that will line 12th Avenue. Of the three, Stella will be 20 stories, with both Nova and Luna reaching 27 and 28 stories. All three buildings will be connected by a collection of small townhouses.

The Huntsman

Features for this tower include the views from the upper of the 12 floors.  Most of the 67 suites are two-bedroom homes, with only 11 one-bedroom places, and each of those has a den. Floor areas start at a generous 729 square feet for the one-bed-plus-den suites, which face north, while all five other suites per floor are two-bedroom places as large as 1,050 square feet.

The best of these are on floors 22 through 26, where the south end of the tower narrows, giving seven of these suites spectacular views in two if not three directions.

Wellington Estates

This 14-storey concrete towerhas 100 suites in the tower plus a retail unit taking up most of the ground-floor.  On the 15th floor (there's no 13th), there are four penthouses of 1,590 to 1,654 square feet, and of course views from these upper floors can be impressive.

The Westbow

The 13 floors house 47 spacious suites with only four suites per floor, 44 of them being either 1,060 or 1,063 square feet.  The top floor is divided into only three suites, two of which offer 1,345 square feet and the largest sprawling across 1,543 square feet and three faces of the building, plus a second balcony.

Wild Rose Manor

This seven-storey tower was completed in 1979 with luxuriously large two-bedroom apartment homes. Three penthouses span two floors and measure 1,592, 2,288, and 2,374 square feet.
